FIRST Conference 2023- Montreal, Canada

In early June 2023, nine PaCSON representatives travelled to Montreal, Canada to attend the National CSIRT Annual Conference (NatCSIRTCON23) and the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams Annual Conference (FIRSTCON23). These conferences took place over seven days and provided PaCSON Members with the opportunity to meet and engage with cyber counterparts from around the world and to participate in presentations and workshops.

PaCSON 2022 Annual General Meeting 26 – 30 September 2022

The 2022 PaCSON Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in person for the first time since 2019 in Suva, Fiji. The AGM is an important opportunity for PaCSON Members, Partners and key stakeholders to come together to collaborate and engage with each other, as well as plan and discuss the key priorities and activities for the coming year.

Cyber Smart Pacific 2022 campaign – Cyber UP Pacific

Just like in the ocean, you can encounter unknown threats in an online environment. PaCSON is pleased to welcome back its annual public awareness raising campaign – Cyber Smart Pacific. In 2022, this campaign has been refreshed and introduces four new characters who will help you to UPSIZE, UPGRADE, UPDATE and UPHOLD your individual cyber security practices.

PaCSON 2021 Virtual Annual General Meeting 25-27 May 2021

Every 12 months, the PaCSON community comes together to celebrate and recognise our efforts and to plan for the coming year. In 2021, the PaCSON Annual General Meeting was held virtually over three days due to COVID-19 restrictions – with great success – and reflected on what we have achieved and planned for where our journey is next headed. Part of the meeting was opportunity to welcome and celebrate our new 2021/22 Executive Committee.

The Cook Islands New Awareness Video Campaign: Be Kukiwise and Stop the Scam

The Cook Islands Financial Intelligence Unit launched a video awareness campaign in consultation with the other stakeholders, including the banks and the Office of the Prime Ministers Information and Communication Technology team. The campaign, titled Be Kukiwise and Stop The Scam is a video campaign which aims to educate citizens of the Cook Islands about the dangers of cybercrime, fraud and misinformation.
